Quick Post, Busy with Work and School

•September 29, 2009 • 1 Comment

Well, I haven’t posted for a while, I have been pretty swamped with 40 hours at work and 18 credit hours at school… I learned a little bit of After Effects the other day and I am pretty excited to learn some more. Well back to homework for now, I just wanted to make a post because it has been a while. When my load lightens up a little I am going to work on BrandonHarter.com and hopefully start writing blog posts again. I have found some really awesome stuff that I can’t wait to share. πŸ™‚

Email multiple photos with the iPhone or iPod Touch ePhoto

•June 18, 2009 • 16 Comments

Ok, so if you don’t know me, you don’t know how I like to figure things out and get as much as I can out of my technology… So I hit google trying to find out how to email more than 1 picture at a time. I was upset to find that it was not built into the operating system. So I searched for an app, well I once again was upset to find no easy solution. The new 3.0 OS allows you to send up to 5 photos at a time. Of course with the official release of the 3.0 OS yesterday we are finally able to send multiple photos to email (Still no MMS for US.) Still though, if you are trying to send multiple photos, it is likely that you will have an instance where you want to send more than 5 photos. I stumbled across the solution last night. Once again, a third party developer has outdone Apple with things that should have been build in from the start. There is a free app called ePhotos

I am not sure if this app will remain free, so grab it while you can and give it a try. Make sure to read the description on the app’s page. Free Yahoo and Hotmail does not allow SMTP services. The description will also demonstraight the basic set up for different emails.

Twitterfon vs Tweetdeck

•June 18, 2009 • 11 Comments

So, I am still running an older version of Twitterfon πŸ™‚ I didn’t update to the version that added ads, so that is nice. So I was just wondering what you guys think, Twitterfon or Tweetdeck?

Twitterfon is limited to the iPhone, while Tweetdeck is also a desktop application. I really like Twitterfon, with the exception of the ads they added, but the paid version does not contain ads. I like that Tweetdeck has the ability to create your own columns. So for now I have both installed, but what do you guys think?

My first snowboard!!!!!!!!

•June 7, 2009 • Leave a Comment

Well yesterday was a pretty good day for me πŸ™‚ I bought. my first snowboard. I bought it at a garage sale for $105. I was on my way to grab some taco bell with my beloved Patrice and I saw the sign for the sale, I decided that I would stop by on our way back. Yesterday was our 10 month anniversary which is way more important than a snowboard! But still, it was pretty exciting to buy this board.

Nitro

The lady was asking for $125 but I didn’t have that on me, but seeing as it was a garage sale, I figured that I would see if she would lower the price. The board was her son’s and he had grown out of it, so I hoped that she would be eager to get rid of it. Well I was right. I told her I didn’t have $125 and she asked what I had. I told her I had $105, she asked if Patrice had any money. I thought that was kinda funny, and a little nervy… but Patrice didn’t have cash. Then the lady said ok, she would sell if for $105. I handed her the money, took my new board and headed back to my car. Did I mention that it wasn’t just a board for $105? It was the board, boots, and bindings πŸ™‚

Board

The lady told me that the board cost $300. I wasn’t sure what it really costs, but I figured that this was a decent price for just boots and bindings, so I was pretty happy to get this deal. I looked online and the cheapest Nitro board I found was over $200 and some were more than $500, so I believe her that she originally paid over $300. The board was just my size, so that was great and the boots were a perfect fit.

All in all, it was a pretty sweet find, and I am happy about it.

CSHS Grad 2009

Well last night me and Patrice went to see Rachel Bonk and Megan O’Connell graduate from high school. I understand that it is busy and can be a little hectic, I have no problem with that. However, the one lady working the event was just so rude… We needed to give Richie something. He was there way earlier and had seats on the ground. I was walking in to give him his stuff and I was stopped. I was told that I couldn’t go in. I said ok, and that I was just waiting for a friend. Well you would assume that this answer would be accepted, although not for this lady, I was informed that I was being very rude… Anyways, we stepped back a foot to technically be out of the room, this was accepted, go figure and Richie showed up.

Me and Patrice spent a while looking for seats. None on the ground floor. None of the second floor. None on the third floor. Well I just so happened to see a good place looking over the stage, only problem was there were no chairs. Luckily I found a few behind a curtain. We took our seats and watched some Simpsons on my iPod. Graduations can be very boring. We say Rachel and Megan walk. I was getting kinda bored so I tried to spot Richie. He was finally able to see me, I told him I was laying on a box under a black clothe looking out. Well it turns out that this clothe just happened to be about a foot below the screen. That’s right, this prime spot I found was actually just underneath the screen. Well as if this wasn’t exciting enough as we were leaving Patrice found a back exit, it just happened to exit onto the stage. By then the event was over, but leaving off of the stage was still pretty funny. Overall it was an interesting night.

Coloring Book App

Ok, so this app really hasn’t gotten a very good review but I really like it. For some reason it doesn’t always save the picture too clearly which is a bummer, especially when you worked hard on it. I like to design and I find this childrens app to be strangly addicting. Here are a few things that I colored. There is a free version of the app, you should try it out.

Patrice’s 20th Birthday!!!!

•May 11, 2009 • Leave a Comment

Well today was Patrice’s 20th birthday. It was a pretty good day. We did our normal Sunday routine, teach Sunday school and go to church. But then we broke away from our regular Sunday routine. Just to be fair, I guess this story starts at 12:00 midnight when her birthday actually began. That is when I gave her her birthday present, that’s right, a brand spankin new CAR!!! Just kidding… It was a 16GB iPod Touch!!!!!!!!! With custom engraving!!! Check it out, I like it.

Patrice's iPod

Oh and here is the one that she got me for Christmas πŸ™‚

My iPod

Ok, so we were up kinda late, but I don’t blame her, when she got me an iPod Touch for Christmas, I spent quite a while playing with it. I must admit, I have lost many hours learning how things on it work and understanding it more. There are some really great apps πŸ™‚ Anyways, back to the story… I got Patrice an iPod Touch for her birthday, she likes it a lot, and is actually playing with it right now while she should be studying (although she does seem pretty ready for her final). I registered the iPod for her, set up her email accounts, and added it to our wireless network before giving it to her, then I very carefully put it back inside it’s packaging. I had it gift wrapped from Apple so I had to be extra careful. I did pretty good, you really couldn’t tell that it had been opened. So after that she went home and I got ready for sleep. This morning we did our routine, Children’s and church. Then we went home. I was wearing jeans, which I do not enjoy 😦 But I did it… So I didn’t have my wallet, jeans pockets are just too small for an iPod, wallet, keys (I have a lot), flash drive, and a knife. So today I left the wallet, flash drive, and knife at home… So we went home, got my wallet and headed over to Red Robin. I had a Monster Burger, really good, and Patrice had a classic burger, it was also good. Dang, they have good ranch and honey mustard. The endless fries are amazing… We also had some blueberry drink that was pretty great. It was a good day. After that she studied more for her final and I have been taking it easy. Patrice said that this was her best birthday, that was pretty encouraging. It reminds me that I am doing something right. I love her so much.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PATRICE!!!!!
